The fine print

Contest rules & eligibility

These rules apply to every campaign run on Ballot Pro, including Head2Head battles. Each campaign owner may add their own terms on top of them.

1. Who runs a campaign

Every campaign on Ballot Pro is created and run by the account that published it — the campaign owner. Ballot Pro provides the voting tools and the public page; it does not run, sponsor or endorse individual campaigns, and it is not the promoter of any contest, sweepstake or prize draw.

Any prize, reward or outcome promised inside a campaign is the sole responsibility of that campaign owner. Questions about a specific campaign should go to its owner first.

2. Eligibility

Voting is open to anyone who can lawfully take part where they live, unless the campaign owner states a narrower audience on the campaign page. Voters must be 13 or older; where local law sets a higher age for taking part in online promotions, that higher age applies.

Entering a campaign (submitting something to be voted on) requires an account and agreement to these rules. Campaign owners may add their own entry requirements, and those requirements apply in addition to these rules.

Employees of the campaign owner and their immediate households may be excluded from prizes at the campaign owner's discretion. They may still vote unless the campaign page says otherwise.

3. Void where prohibited

All campaigns are void where prohibited or restricted by law. Nothing on this platform is an offer in any jurisdiction where such an offer or the running of such a campaign would be unlawful, would require registration or bonding that has not been completed, or is otherwise restricted.

No purchase is necessary to vote in a campaign. Payments made to Ballot Pro are for platform access, campaign capacity, entry fees and optional placement — never for votes, and never for a better result.

4. How votes are counted

One vote per entry per participant. Participants are anonymous: we derive a one-way fingerprint from network information using a secret salt, and we never store a raw IP address next to a vote or any other identifying detail.

Automated voting, scripts, vote-buying, proxy or VPN farming, and coordinated bursts from a single network are prohibited. Unusual voting patterns are flagged for human review. Votes are never deleted automatically by the system — a person reviews a flag before any campaign result is adjusted or a campaign is closed.

Paid featured placement and sponsor banners affect visibility only. They never add, weight, remove or reorder votes, and tallies are counted identically for every campaign.

5. Campaign length and closing

A campaign can run for at most 30 days from the moment it is created. Campaigns close automatically once their end date passes, and no further votes are accepted after that point.

A campaign owner may close a campaign early. The tally shown at the moment of closing is the final result.

6. Entries and content

Entrants must own or have permission to use everything they submit, including video, audio, artwork and any linked social post. Submitting content grants the campaign owner and Ballot Pro permission to display it on the campaign page, the results card and any live overlay for the duration of the campaign.

Content that is unlawful, hateful, deceptive, sexually explicit, or that infringes someone else's rights may be removed without notice.

7. Contact details and privacy

Contact details are only collected from entrants who choose to provide them, and they are stored separately from votes so that a vote can never be traced back to a person.

You may ask for a copy of the data held about your account, or ask for it to be deleted, from the Data tab of your dashboard or by writing to the address in section 9.

8. Disputes

Raise a dispute with the campaign owner first — most questions about eligibility, prizes or a specific entry can only be answered by them.

If a dispute concerns the integrity of the voting itself (suspected automated voting, duplicate voting or a miscounted tally), write to the platform address below within 14 days of the campaign closing, with the campaign link and what you observed. The platform will review the campaign's flag history and voting patterns and reply with a decision. Where manipulation is confirmed, the platform may mark the result as disputed, remove flagged votes after review, or close the campaign.

Platform decisions on voting integrity are final. They do not decide entitlement to any prize, which remains a matter between the entrant and the campaign owner.

9. Getting in touch

Questions about these rules, disputes about voting integrity, and data requests can be sent to the campaign owner or to the platform contact given on the campaign page. Keep a copy of the campaign link — it is the fastest way for anyone to find the right record.
